In 1995 Mike graduated from Continental School of Beauty (Henrietta, NY) concentrating in Cosmetology field. Since then he has worked for SuperCuts, SportClips, College Barber Shop, Salon in California, and Gordy's Barber Styling. In the late nineties Mike owned and operated Spotlight Hair Design in Irondequoit, NY. Earlier this year (2007) he opened a brand new Mikal Hair Studio at 1302 Creek Street, Webster, New York near Baytowne Plaza.

In his spare time Mike does home improvements as well as carpentry/wood work. Before opening this studio Mike had to do some major renovations to this place. The garage had to go. Here are some before and during construction/renovation pictures:

The garage door was replaced with large windows to give as much natural light into the place as possible. New framing and more windows in the back as well as in the ceiling were put in. Then the plumbing, wiring, insulation, dry wall and flooring were done. With careful thought and execution the studio was fashioned. Take a look at these after pictures of the studio:
